Before the Surgery
I had a consultation for contour surgery and rhinoplasty surgeries at View Plastic Surgery hospital, today!
My first impression of the hospital was very good as the friendly staff guided me from the moment I arrived at the hospital and checked in. Before having the rhinoplasty and contouring consultation with the chief doctor, I took a simple X-ray and spoke with the head consultant first. I didn't know much about the detailed surgical method, but I consulted with the head consultant first before discussing with the director, so it was nice to be able to hear the explanation in advance.
Contouring and rhinoplasty consultations were not done by a single doctor. Rather I met with each doctor and had a consultation with them! I could notice their professionalism and expertise in these areas!
I was worried because contouring surgery is a major surgery, but I was able to put my mind at ease after consulting with the head surgeon! Additionally, it was great that the rhinoplasty doctor explained to me what materials would be used on my Rhinoplasty and how the surgery would proceed. Overall, the hospital was really big and there were a lot of patients, so that helped me trust it even more!
Day 3 :
During the final consultation with the doctors on the day of surgery, I felt like I was really going through surgery!
The people on each floor were really kind, but the nurse who guided me when I first checked in for hospitalization was especially kind. I was able to go into the surgery in a good mood even before the surgery because she kindly informed me and helped me with the hospitalization process!
In fact, right after the surgery, I was in so much pain that I couldn't even remember, but I kept feeling nauseous due to the aftereffects of the general anesthesia, and because I had cotton stuffed up my Rhinoplasty, I could only breathe through my mouth, my throat and mouth were dry, and I felt sick,so I couldn't even drink water on my own!
It was really hard, but the nurses never showed me any irritation, gave me painkillers overnight, gave me ice packs , and came and looked after me whenever I felt unwell.
Thanks to this, I always felt like I had a guardian even though I didn't have an actual guardian with me! I was most impressed by the nurses who assisted me kindly until the end of my discharge! There is still a lot of swelling in my face and bloody fluid continues to come out of my Rhinoplasty, so I haven't been able to see my post-surgery appearance yet,
\but When I look at my chin from the side, my chin is V shaped instead of square shaped, which I can feel while taking a steam bath, and my Rhinoplasty also seems to be sharper than before, so I'm looking forward to seeing the results in the near the future! I'm having my stitches removed in a week! I can't wait to take a shower!
1 week :
Today was my 7th day after a rhinoplasty and contour surgery! I always feel this way, but all the staff at View Plastic Surgery are friendly, so I feel good every time I visit!
Today, I visited View Plastic Surgery to have Rhinoplasty and contour stitches removed and splint removed.
It was nice that the head doctor personally observed the progress of the Rhinoplasty surgery in the treatment room and answered all the questions I had. The Rhinoplasty stitches didn't hurt too much, but the removal of the tape on my chin that was put during the contour surgery, really hurt.. After removing the splint and stitches, I looked in the mirror while sitting in the waiting room, and although there was still a lot of swelling, I could see that my jaw line was slimmer than before! I’m looking forward to seeing how the swelling goes down quickly and how things look!
Actually, I had high expectations for the Rhinoplasty surgery, so when I saw it from the front, the swelling made it look very awkward..! Still, I thought I should wait longer since it hasn't settled in yet! I think plastic surgery is really a series of waiting. Just as my face changes slightly between yesterday and today, I will hope that time continues to pass! For the second week, I made an appointment for treatment and went to the dermatologist to get a swelling laser and exfoliation because they said they would remove the stitches in my mouth!! I felt good after receiving the treatment, and the dermatology staff were so friendly that it made me want to come more often if I lived in Seoul! In the end, I received perfect aftercare and was able to go home in a good mood!
2 week :
Today marks the second week since I had contour surgery and a rhinoplasty, so I visited View Plastic Surgery Hospital to remove the stitches in my mouth! After disinfecting my mouth with gargle, we got treatment with the treatment. It definitely stung more than the Rhinoplasty stitches, so I shed a few tears. Still, they gave me a cute doll to console me haha. It stung, but it was bearable because they removed them quickly!
After hearing the simple precautions after removing the stitches, I thought it was over and was about to go home,
but they guided me to a dermatologist! It was nice to feel like I was continuously being cared for after the plastic surgery because they provided thorough aftercare. I'm still in my second week with the swelling, but it was great to get swelling aftercare from a dermatologist! I was grateful for the thorough aftercare service. It was the second week and I was very curious and excited to see how things would change in a month!
1 Month :
It’s finally been a month since I’ve had my contour and rhinoplasty surgery. Compared to the day of surgery, the swelling has gone down considerably. Now, I could comfortably go back to my daily activities. But still, the swelling in my left cheek and Rhinoplasty is palpable, and the swelling on my chin hasn't completely gone down,, but I'm glad it's getting prettier haha. I'm looking forward to what the future holds!!!
2 Months :
It's already been two months since I had contour surgery and rhinoplasty at View Plastic Surgery Hospital!
The swelling has definitely gone down a lot since the beginning of the surgery, and only minor swelling remains! It doesn't affect my daily life at all, so I put on makeup and meet a lot of friends!!
I can't tell if the chin swelling is just swelling or if it’s fat, but I need to take better care of it so it doesn't get fatter or more swollen! I am so satisfied that thanks to the contouring surgery, I was able to cut my hair medium short, which I had never been able to do with my previous angular face shape!
I hope the remaining swelling goes away quickly!
3 Months :
Finally, three months have passed since I had my Rhinoplasty and contouring surgery. There is almost no swelling now, and it looks like the lines are pretty! My friends also said, that It looks like the surgery went really well~, they say “It looks natural and pretty!” I get a lot of compliments on my back, so I enjoy putting on makeup and going out these days. Now, I think that the face after surgery is my own, but sometimes I am surprised when I look at the pre-surgery photos hahahaha. It's so pretty and I'm very satisfied!
